The RFPRA Adult Softball Program
Offers three playing seasons: Fall, Spring, Summer

Program Fees
Spring/Summer/Fall Team Fee is $305 (includes one dozen softballs)
Player Fee is $15 for county residents and $20 for non-county residents

SOFTBALL LEAGUE NOTES

  • All teams must use the designated Park Softball.
  • These are available for $55 per dozen or $5.00 each at the Park.
  • Player fees will be discounted to $10 / in county resident and $15 / out of county resident after the team has played through one complete season.
  • Teams must use the identical roster for the summer and / or fall seasons to receive the player fee discount.
  • Game schedules are available on the posted dates after 2 p.m. at the main office of the Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority 300 W. 3rd Street in downtown Rome. All player and team fees must be paid in full to receive any game schedule.
  • League games are played at Floyd County Softball Center (FCSBC) located at 1014 Burnette Ferry Rd. SW Rome Ga. 30165.
  • League games are played Monday-Thursday game times are 6:30 pm/ 7:30 pm/ 8:30pm. There is a 10 minute grace period for first game of the night only. Game time is forfeit time for all other games.
  • League team practices at FCSBC are available two weeks prior to each season, call 706-290-9040 between 6:00pm and 8:00pm to make a reservation, during each season’s practice dates.
  • Team uniforms must consist of like colored jerseys with 6” number on the back, no two players can wear the same jersey or the same number.
  • Each team may register up to 20 players, each team must have 9 players in uniform to start and finish each game, there is a $20 forfeit fee for each game that a team can not field at least 9 players.
  • Team rosters are finalized after the seventh game.
  • The Amateur Softball Association (ASA) governs softball rules of play unless otherwise stated in the RFPRA rules and regulations.
  • Time limit on all league games will be one hour and fifteen minutes or seven innings.
  • New playing rule for all men’s divisions: Base stealing will be permitted. Runners may advance after the ball reaches the front edge of home plate.
  • Included with team fee will be one dozen softballs.
