Summer Day Camps

Sign up for a week at a time or for the whole summer! Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation offers nine fun filled weeks of camp in a safe, clean and fun environment. Day Camps feature daily activities including field trips, organized games & crafts.

Camp Anthony, Garden Lakes
Registration Deadline: May 23
Cost: $75/wk
Dates: May 27-Jul 25
Time: 7:30 am -6 pm (M-F)
Ages: 6 -14
Gear up for fun and field trips! Each week offers a trip and daily themed activities from Disc Golf to Reaching for the stars at Fernbank Planetarium. Kids will enjoy activities like cave exploration, hiking, overnight camping and a visit to the Booth Western Museum.

Camp Cave Spring
Registration Deadline: May 23
Cost: $59/wk
Dates: May 27-Jul 25
Time: 7:30 am -6 pm (M-F)
Ages: 6 -14
Kids will enjoy a variety of activities including daily swimming and crafts. Weekly themes include Drama Week where kids will put on a play.  Art week will feature a gallery event and Entertainment week will allow kids to focus on their favorite type of interactive fun.

Camp Fielder

Ages: 6 -14
Kids will enjoy themed weeks packed full of activities from skating, to bowling to putt-putt. Weekly themes include World of Sports, People in My World and Discovery week.  Daily fun will include crafts, sports, indoor games and outdoor games. Special days like the Popcorn Festival and Family Cookout are also planned.

Camp Gilbreath, Lindale

Ages: 6 -14
Enjoy a variety of activities and field trips. Each week offers a new camp theme from Wild Safari week and a field trip to the Runnin Wild Ranch to Under the Sea and a trip to the Tennessee Aquarium/Imax. Kids will enjoy activities like fishing, ropes coarse, sports and a Alaha Luau.

Road Trip Camp

Ages: 7-13
Lake Winnepesaukah...Tubing on Ocoee River...Chattanooga Lookout Game...Bowling...Movies...Canoeing...do we have your attention now?  Join us for a week of non-stop action.  Cost includes all activities and three lunches. Campers meet at Hamler Gym.

Outdoor Camp

Dates: June 2-6
Time: 9 am - 4 pm (M-F)
Ages: 7-13
A week full of outdoor adventures and fun will include hiking, exploring, fishing, canoeing and tubing down Ocoee River. Campers should bring snack, lunch and drink each day. Campers meet at Hamler Gym.

Sports Camps

Sports camps are offered throughout the year providing varied activities including youth sports instruction, guest speakers and field trips. This summer we are are offering the following sports camps:

Challenger British Soccer Camp
Registration Deadline: Jun 6
Cost: $70 - $110 /wk (Prices vary, 5 different camps offered)
Dates: Jun 16-20
Ages: 3 -15
British Soccer Camps provide players of all ages and abilities with the rare opportunity to receive high-level soccer coaching from a team of international experts. Each day includes individual foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, small-sided games, coached scrimmages, and a daily tournament.

Football Camps
Fundamentals Camps: Apr 19, Jun 14, Jul 26                          
Passing Camp: July 19
Kids will learn the basics at Fundamentals Camp including tackling, blocking and passing skills.  Passing Camp will focus solely on passing skills.

Tennis Camps
Cost: $65 ($75 camp & racket)
Dates: June 2-6, June 23-27, July 7-11, July 21-25, July 28-Aug 1
Time: 9 am -12 pm (M-F)
Tiny Tots Camp (ages 4-7): Learn the fundamentals of how to hit a tennis ball.
Fundamentals Camp (ages 7-18): Open to all skill levels. Skill development camp.
Match Play Camp (7-18): Open to skilled players consisting of match play and strategy.

All Sports
Session 1: Jun 23-27 , Session 2: Jul 14-18
Cost: $89 per session
Time: 9 am -1 pm (M-F)
Ages: 7-10
Come play soccer, basketball, flag football, tennis, volleyball, swimming and bowling. Each day kids will participate in 3 different activities and learn the basics needed to play each sport. All equipment will be provided except glove and tennis racket. Campers should bring snack, lunch and drink each day.
