Shannon Recreation Center Announcements
Shannon Center Now Open for Rentals
The renovated facility features two banquet rooms with attached kitchens including one chef’s kitchen. The center also features a billard room and game tables. The center is located inside Shag Williams Park and is situated with convenient access to the tennis courts, covered basketball courts, ball fields, playground and pavilion. The recreation center and park is available for rentals and has already been booked for weddings, showers and parties.

About "Shag" Williams Park
“Shag” Williams Park is commonly referred to as Shannon Park and houses the Shannon Scout Cabin and the new recreation center addition. The park was named in honor of Shag Williams for his commitment to the community and to the park. Shag was the first scout master at the park and also gave of his carpentry and architectural skills in the rebuilding of the Scout Hut through three different iterations. The new recreation center addition to the Scout Hut serves as the fourth iteration of the building. The park is located on 40 Minshew Road off of Gaines Road.
