Rome's 2023 Independence Day Celebration Set for Tuesday, July 4

Get ready for a fun-filled day on July 4th with a full day of food, music, inflatables and more, as the 2023 Independence Day Celebration sponsored by Atrium Health Floyd takes over Ridge Ferry Park.

The park opens to the public at noon with food trucks and concessions available. At 1 p.m., the splash zone opens with four water inflatables for kids to enjoy. Later in the evening, park goers can listen and dance to Benny Gray and the Trailer Park Cowboys, as they take to the Coca-Cola Stage.

All of this helps lead up to the grand finale of the evening, a fireworks show that will be shot from the top of Jackson Hill starting at approximately 9:55 p.m. Zambelli Fireworks is once again shooting the display that will feature more than 1,500 fireworks shells of all types, colors and sizes.

“We look forward to this event every year, and we want everyone to come out to the park and enjoy a great day of food, fun, music and of course fireworks,” Todd Wofford, RFPRA Director says. “We also want to thank Atrium Health Floyd for sponsoring this great event.”

Rome Radio Partners will once again be broadcasting a simulcast featuring patriotic music on radio station Q102 (102.3 on the radio dial) to go along with the display. Entrance to the event is free, but it is $5 to park.

Everyone is reminded that there are some limitations for Ridge Ferry Park, including no large coolers, no pets, no drones, no sparklers and no fires. The main parking lot to Ridge Ferry is reserved for handicapped parking only with regular parking available at the Shoals Side of Ridge Ferry where the dog park is located.
