The jolly old elf himself, Santa Claus, returns to Ridge Ferry Park on Saturday, Dec. 10 for the 2022 version of Playtime with Santa. Santa along with Parky and Rex, the Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation mascots, will be on hand to take photos with children and also hand out sports balls to the first 600 kids age 12 and under.
The event is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will be near the Coca-Cola stage.
The first 600 kids age 12 and under will receive either a free football, basketball or soccer ball. There is a limit of one ball per child.
“The past couple of years we turned this event into a drive thru event, and we had a lot of people come to park. We are excited to get back to an in-person event and can’t wait to see all the kids come out to the park, see Santa and our mascots and get a free ball,” RFPRA Director Todd Wofford says. “I’d also like to thank Coca-Cola for being a great sponsor and helping support this event.”
