Sports Registrations Open January 1

Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation is thrilled to announce that registration for all youth sports programs will open on January 1, 2026. Families can take advantage of early registration discounts on a wide range of sports, including t-ball, baseball, softball, football, cheerleading, volleyball, and basketball.

Registration can be completed online at www.rfpra.com or in person at the main office located at 1 Shorter Ave. Please note that birth certificates are required for all participants.

For spring baseball and softball, the early registration period runs from January 1 through January 25, 2026, with a fee of $85. Regular registration will be held from January 26 through February 22, 2026, for $100, and the last chance registration period will take place from February 23 through March 1, 2026, for $120.

For spring t-ball, early registration is available from January 1 through January 25, 2026, for $35. Regular registration runs from January 26 through February 22, 2026, for $50, and last chance registration will be open from February 23 through March 1, 2026, for $70.

Parents are encouraged to register early to secure their child’s spot and save on fees. Early registration provides families more time to plan ahead and ensures participation in their preferred programs.

“We want to make it as easy as possible for families to enroll their children in sports,” said Todd Wofford, Director of Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation. “By opening registration for all sports at the beginning of the year, we help parents stay ahead of deadlines. Our early registration period also gives families additional flexibility for planning and budgeting.”
