Community Yard Sales Coming to Etowah Park and Garden Lakes Park
ROME, GA — October 5, 2026 — Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation is excited to announce Community Yard Sales, taking place Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at two convenient locations in Rome and Floyd County.
The Community Yard Sale offers residents an opportunity to declutter their homes, clean out closets and garages and make a little extra money while participating in a fun community event. Sellers can offer a variety of items, including household goods, clothing, toys, tools and other gently used belongings. Whether you're looking to clear out items you no longer need or hoping to find something new-to-you, the event provides a great opportunity to shop, sell and support local.
“We wanted to create an opportunity for our community to come together, clean out items they no longer need and give those items a new home,” said Todd Wofford, Director at Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation. “Whether you're looking to sell or shop, the Community Yard Sale is a great way to spend a Saturday while connecting with other members of the community.”
The Community Yard Sales will be held at two locations, giving vendors the flexibility to select the location that works best for them. The event will take place at Garden Lakes Park, located at 2903 Garden Lakes Blvd. NW, Rome, GA 30165 and Etowah Park, located at 1325 Kingston Rd. NE, Rome, GA 30161.
Vendor spaces are approximately 10 feet by 20 feet, which is equivalent to two parking spaces. The cost is $25 per space. Vendors are welcome to sell household goods, clothes, toys, tools and other items, making this a great opportunity for families and individuals to clean out their homes while making a little extra cash. All applications are subject to approval and interested vendors are encouraged to register soon as space is limited.
The Community Yard Sale is just one of the ways Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation is creating opportunities for residents to connect, participate and enjoy their local parks. The department encourages community members to take advantage of this unique event, whether they are looking to become a vendor, shop for great bargains or simply enjoy a Saturday morning supporting local neighbors.
Vendor applications are currently being accepted. For more information or to inquire about vendor registration, contact Laura Krause at Laura.Krause@floydcountyga.org.
