Celebrate 250 years of American independence in true red, white and blue fashion on Saturday, July 4, as the 2026 Independence Day Extravaganza, sponsored by Atrium Health Floyd and Harbin Clinic, fills Ridge Ferry Park with a high‑energy day of music, food and family fun.

The celebration kicks off at 3 p.m. with a full lineup of family fun, including games, water inflatables and nine food trucks and concessions serving up something for everyone. Inflatable wristbands will be available for $5. As the evening builds, the energy continues with live music from Makenzie Phipps on the Coca-Cola stage. Phipps, a contestant on Season 28 of The Voice, will have the crowd on their feet.

The night culminates with one of the largest fireworks shows in Northwest Georgia, lighting up the sky above Jackson Hill at approximately 9:30 p.m. The spectacular display, produced by Pyrotecnico, will feature more than 1,500 fireworks in a vibrant red, white and blue celebration as the community comes together to mark this historic milestone.
“We look forward to this event each year and invite everyone to come together as a community to celebrate 250 years of American independence with a day filled with food, music and fireworks,” said Todd Wofford, RFPRA Director. “This event is truly made possible through community partnership, and we are grateful to Atrium Health Floyd and Harbin Clinic for their continued support in bringing this celebration to life.”
Rome Radio Partners will once again broadcast a simulcast featuring patriotic music to accompany the fireworks display. Parking for the event is $5 and card only.
Guests are reminded that large coolers, pets, drones, fires and sparklers are not permitted in Ridge Ferry Park. Parking will be available in the main park and the Shoal’s parking lots. Attendees are encouraged to follow staff directions when parking.
