Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation (RFPRA) is proud to recognize and celebrate Division Manager Brock Coogler for his 20 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Rome and Floyd County as he prepares to begin a new chapter in his career.

Coogler, who joined RFPRA in 2006, has spent the past two decades helping shape and enhance recreational opportunities throughout the community. As Division Manager of the Western Division, he has overseen the maintenance operations at Alto Park, Garden Lakes Park, North Floyd Park, Thornton Center, Coosa Park, E.S. Brown Park, and the community athletic fields. Under his leadership, these facilities have continued to provide quality recreational experiences for thousands of residents each year.

Throughout his tenure, Coogler has been known for his commitment to public service, strong leadership, and dedication to developing both parks and people. His impact extends beyond the facilities he managed, as he has played a key role in mentoring staff members and helping build a strong team culture within the department.

After 20 years with RFPRA, Coogler has accepted the position of Recreation Director for the City of Centre, Alabama, where he will lead the community's parks and recreation efforts.

"I'm very happy for Brock in advancing his career," said Todd Wofford, Director of Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation. "He will bring a load of knowledge to the Centre community. He's done an outstanding job preparing his team to step up, and he's been a great leader to his division."

While RFPRA will miss Coogler's leadership and expertise, the department is grateful for his years of service and wishes him continued success in his new role.

"On behalf of the entire Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation family, we thank Brock for his dedication, professionalism, and countless contributions to our community," said Wofford. "His legacy will continue to be felt throughout our parks, programs, and facilities for years to come."

Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation congratulates Brock Coogler on this well-deserved opportunity and looks forward to seeing the positive impact he will make in Centre, Alabama.
