Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation still has some soccer balls,
basketballs and footballs to give away. More than 500 balls were passed out at our drive thru Playtime with Santa event on Saturday at Ridge Ferry Park, but we want to ensure the kids who couldn’t make it out on Saturday have a couple of more chances to get balls.
On Wednesday, Dec. 16, we’ll have balls at Shag Williams Park in Shannon from 4 to 6 p.m. On Thursday, Dec. 17, we’ll have balls from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Gilbreath Center in Lindale. The balls are for children ages 12 and under and we do ask a limit of two balls per family. We do have a limited number of balls remaining, so it’s first come, first serve while supplies last.
